Never a waste of your time (Part 1)

Things that are never a waste of time

So what?

We recently posted about how to know when it’s the right day for someday so you don’t waste your time tackling your someday things on the wrong day. There are things in life that you don’t need to wait for the right day to come by. Doing things that are never a waste of time ensure you to spend your time wisely. Keep reading to find out the things that you can do without ever wasting your time and effort.

Being creative

We struggle with creativity since we’re not naturally creative in anyway. The way we’ve overcome this is to change our routine by occasionally being spontaneous and not conforming to ourselves and social norms. This allowed us to look at our life and the world with fresh set of eyes and new perspectives on what’s around us. Being creative not only gets us out of our comfort zone but keeps us grounded and present.

Listening to yourself

Whether it be joy and happiness or physical and emotional pain, we lose sight of ourselves and let these things slip through our fingers when we get busy with our lives. When you continue to miss the telltale signs of joy and happiness, you forgo the enjoyment of things around you. You lose focus on what is important to you and makes you smile. And ignoring or not recognising pain that you’re feeling can make it build up and cause all kinds of havoc in your life. Whilst you can tell yourself “it’s never too late”, why get to that point when you can listen to yourself now and feel joy and happiness or address the pain you’re suffering from?

My experience

I’ve mentioned this a few times but I’m going to use it again as it was such a turning point in my life. I’ve experienced two panic attacks. It’s not something you want to go through. You’re conscious but absolutely have no control of your mind and body when you experience one. It’s scary and traumatising. So what got me to the point of panic attacks? Not listening to my physical and emotional pain. I felt it but ignored it as something normal and what everyone go through. And it built up to a point that I did things that I don’t want to think about. But the memory of it is so vivid.

What now?

  • Are you naturally a creative person? How do you use your talent to improve your life?
  • What telltale signs are you ignoring when you don’t listen to yourself?
